The gift plan design, due diligence, and ownership transfer are complete and the written acknowledgment is delivered to finalize the gift over the goal line. Congratulations! Now you may want to “set it and forget it” to move on to the next project. Don’t move on too quickly! This session will cover all the post-donation situations that may still need your attention. Attendees will learn: ž The major real estate post-donation considerations (utilities/insurance, tenants/leases, property management, sales/closing process, tax escrows); ž The major business interest post-donation considerations (minority vs. majority, voting shares, F-reorg, closing of the books, sales/closing process, reps/warranties, rollover equity, escrows and earnouts, notes, UBIT); ž  The major international asset post-donation considerations (everything above plus regulatory issues/filings, controlled foreign corporation rules (CFC), passive foreign investment company (PFIC), language/currency conversion).
